feburic治疗痛风效果如何?
How effective is feburic in treating gout? The Chinese name of feburic: febuxostat, is a new drug used to treat gout. We have collected and compiled several trials on the therapeutic effect of feburic. Let’s learn about it together.
The feburic Phase II clinical study is a multi-center, double-blind, randomized trial that evaluates the safety and efficacy of feburic in gout. Gout patients included in the trial, including 17 women and 136 men, were randomized to receive feburic (40, 80 or 120 mg/day) or placebo.
The test results after 4 weeks found that the serum uric acid concentration of patients treated with placebo was only reduced by 2%, while the serum uric acid concentration of patients in each dose group of feburic was significantly reduced compared with before treatment, with an average reduction of 37%, 44% and 59% in each group from low to high dose respectively. The effect was significant.
In this trial, the safety of feburic was also relatively good, with the incidence of adverse reactions similar to those in the placebo group, and most of these adverse reactions were mild and self-limiting, with common ones including back pain, diarrhea, back pain, aches, headaches and joint pain.
In a phase III clinical trial, the efficacy of allopurinol (300 mg/d) and feburic (80 and 120 mg/d) were compared. The study lasted for one year, and a total of 760 patients were included. All subjects were gout patients, and the sUA concentration before the trial was above 80mg/L.
The treatment effect of the feburic group was relatively good. Compared with the allopurinol group, more patients reached the main trial efficacy index - the sUA concentration was measured below 60 mg/L in the last 3 months; after 52 weeks of treatment, feburic failed to significantly reduce tophi. area (tophus is an aggregate of urate crystals unique to gout), but in the high-dose group in the early stages of the trial, this effect was more obvious; in each treatment group, patients with sUA concentrations reaching the target (<60mg/L) were less likely to have gout attacks again, and their tophi area was more significantly reduced.
feburic (febuxostat) has a significant effect in the treatment of gout, and as a new drug, feburic has a more powerful and long-lasting effect in reducing uric acid, making it a good choice for gout patients.
