France's Sanofi is mainly used to prevent and treat epileptic seizures and is the drug of choice. It is more effective for typical and compound minor seizures. Good results can often be achieved when using this product when other drugs are ineffective. Especially suitable for children with nodding epilepsy and myoclonic epilepsy.

Instructions for use of French Sanofi Vigabatrin:
1. Routine adult dosage for preventing epileptic seizures:
Initial dose: 1 g daily (contains 500 mg PO twice daily with or without food)
The total daily dose may be increased by 500 mg weekly depending on response.
Recommended dose: 3 g orally daily (1.5 g twice daily)
The 6 g daily dose showed no additional benefit compared with the 3 g daily dose and was associated with an increased incidence of adverse events.
2. Commonly used pediatric doses for epilepsy:
Infantile spasms:
1 month to 2 years old:
Initial dose: 50 mg/kg/day vigabatrin oral solution in two divided doses with or without food. Dosage may be increased in increments of 25 to 50 mg/kg/day every 3 days up to a maximum of 150 mg/kg/day.
The entire contents of an appropriate number of sachets (500 mg each) of the powder should be poured into an empty cup and each sachet should be dissolved in 10 ml of cold or room temperature water using the 10 ml oral syringe supplied with the medicine. The concentration of the final solution is 50 mg/mL.
Each individual dose should be prepared immediately before use and served at room temperature.
