French Sanofi is an analogue of gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA), which can specifically bind to GABA aminotransferase and irreversibly, leading to an increase in the concentration of GABA in the brain, thereby exerting anti-epileptic effects.

Vigabatrin is used as adjunctive therapy in patients who are refractory to other antiepileptic drugs, especially those with partial seizures (mainly used to control complex partial seizures). Vigabatrin may worsen absence or myoclonic seizures. Vigabatrin may also be used in infants with West syndrome (infantile spasms), which is generally unresponsive to conventional antiepileptic drugs.

As an auxiliary therapeutic drug, vigabatrin can achieve better efficacy. When used alone, it is effective in the treatment of newly diagnosed patients.

How to use French Sanofi Vigabatrin:

Orally administered, the initial dose is 0.5g per day, and the dose can be increased by 0.5g per day every week. The maintenance dose is 1 to 1.5g per day, divided into 2 times. The maximum amount should not exceed 4g per day.

For children, the initial dose is 40 mg/kg per day, which can be increased to a maintenance dose of 60 to 100 mg/kg per day as needed. For the treatment of infantile spasms, individual doses can reach 150mg/kg per day.

France's Sanofi is the largest pharmaceutical company in Europe and the third largest in the world. It was established in 2004 through the merger of Sanofi-Synthelabo and Aventis. Headquartered in Paris, it has branches in more than 80 countries, more than 100,000 employees, and a turnover of more than 25 billion euros in 2004.
