Adverse reactions leading to discontinuation: In a phase 3 controlled clinical trial of partial epileptic seizures, among patients randomly assigned to the recommended daily doses of perampanel up to 4 mg, 8 ng and 12 mg, the incidence of adverse reactions leading to discontinuation were 1.7%, 4.2% and 13.7% respectively, and the incidence of patients in the placebo group was 1.4%. The most common adverse reactions leading to discontinuation were dizziness and somnolence (the overall incidence in the perampanel group was >1%, higher than that in the placebo group).
