Dosage: Rapamin is a prescription drug for use only by physicians experienced in immunosuppressive therapy and in the management of kidney transplant patients.

Rapamin sirolimus tablets are recommended to be taken orally once daily in combination with cyclosporine and corticosteroids. To reduce differences in the absorption of rapamycin, patients should choose to take it regularly with or without food. Tablets should not be broken or chewed.

It should be started as soon as possible after transplantation. For new transplant recipients, the loading dose that should be taken for the first time is three times the maintenance dose. The recommended loading dose for kidney transplant patients is 6 mg and the maintenance dose is 2 mg/day. During the treatment process, patients need to monitor the blood concentration of therapeutic drugs.

Adverse reactions: Clinical trials found that most of the side effects of rapamin (sirolimus tablets) are dose-related, and the nephrotoxicity is relatively small. The main toxic and side effects include: dizziness, nausea, headache, nose bleeding, and joint pain. Usually these side effects are reversible.

Contraindications: Rapamin is contraindicated in patients who are allergic to this drug or its components.
