How much does Sonidegib cost?

In July 2015, the FDA approved Sonidegib (Sonidegib), branded as Odomzo, for patients 18 years of age or older with basal cell carcinoma (BCC) who have either recurred or are not suitable for surgery or radiation therapy. The European Commission approved Solidegib in August 2015 for the same indication. Because hedgehog pathway signaling plays a critical role in embryogenesis, solidegib is contraindicated in pregnant or breastfeeding women as it may cause serious birth defects or fetal death.

Solidagen also known asLDE225, was discovered in 2010, with an IC50 of 11nM in humans. In preclinical studies, solidegib was found to have high oral bioavailability, high tissue penetration and the ability to cross the blood-brain barrier. In a phase I study, patients with advanced solid tumors tolerated a maximum dose of 800 mg daily and 250 mg twice daily, with a dose range of 100-3000 mg daily and 250-850 mg twice daily. There is no clinical advantage to twice-daily dosing; therefore, once-daily dosing is the recommended dose in the ongoing trial of Solidagib. Muscle cramps were the most commonly reported adverse event in Phase I trials.

Solidagen is a new type of drug for treating diseases. Although the original drug Solidagen has been marketed in China, it has not yet entered the scope of medical insurance, and its price has not yet been determined.
