Which one is better, Apremilast or biologics?

Apremilast(Apremilast) and biologics are two different types of drugs used to treat psoriasis (psoriasis) and psoriatic arthritis (psoriatic arthritis). Their effects and application scenarios are different.

Biologics are a class of protein drugs produced through genetic engineering technology that usually reduce disease symptoms by inhibiting the effects of specific inflammatory mediators in the immune system. In contrast,Apremilast (apmilast)is generally less effective than biologics, but its convenience of oral administration makes it a suitable option in the management of some mild to moderate conditions. Apremilast is relatively safe, has few side effects, and can be easily taken by patients at home.

Therefore, based on each patient's specific situation and severity of illness, doctors will select appropriate drugs based on individualized treatment plans. For patients with higher disease activity and severity, biologics may be a more effective option. For patients with mild to moderate disease, Apremilast (apmilast) may be a more appropriate treatment option.
