Can Apremilast cure psoriasis?
Apremilast(Apremilast) is an oral medication used to treat psoriasis (psoriasis) and psoriatic arthritis (psoriatic arthritis), but it does not completely cure psoriasis.
Psoriasis is a chronic inflammatory skin disease characterized by red, dry patches of varying thickness on the skin, often accompanied by itching and scaling. AlthoughApremilast is effective in reducing the symptoms of psoriasis, it does not completely cure the disease.

The mechanism of action of Apremilast is to regulate immune response and inflammatory processes by inhibiting the activity of phosphodiesterase 4 (PDE4). It reduces the production of inflammatory mediators, thereby alleviating skin lesions and symptoms.
After using Apremilast , patients typically observe a reduction in skin lesions, reduced erythema, and relief of symptoms of itching and pain. This significantly improves the patient's quality of life, but does not mean that the disease is completely cured.
Psoriasis is a chronic disease that often requires long-term management and control. Even after taking a drug such as Apremilast, the condition may rebound once treatment is stopped. Therefore, patients need regular follow-up visits and continued treatment under the guidance of a doctor to maintain the stability and remission of the condition.
In summary, although Apremilast can effectively control the symptoms of psoriasis, it cannot completely cure the disease. Patients need to work closely with their doctors to develop appropriate treatment plans and take long-term management measures to keep the condition stable and under control.
