How many fenelidone tablets should you take a day?

Finerenone (Finerenone) tablets are a treatment for patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD) associated with type 2 diabetes. Before and after treatment begins, doctors will monitor the patient's potassium levels and kidney function through laboratory tests as needed.

Finelidone will be taken as a tablet by mouth once daily with or without food. Specifically, when eGFR is in the range of 25 to <60mL/min/1.73m^2, the starting dose is 10 mg once daily. This means these patients need to take one 10 mg tablet of fenelidone daily.

It is worth noting that for patientseGFR<25mL/min/1.73m^2, the use of fenelidone tablets is not recommended due to severely impaired renal function. This is because use of this drug may increase the risk of serious complications such as hyperkalemia in such patients.
