Three major early symptoms of melanoma
Melanoma is a highly malignant skin cancer, and timely detection of its early symptoms is crucial to the patient's prognosis. Although there are currently no specific drugs that can directly treat the early symptoms of melanoma, early detection and various treatments such as surgery and immunotherapy can significantly improve the survival rate of patients.
When looking for early symptoms of melanoma, we should be on high alert for any new moles or freckles on the skin, sores or spots that don't heal, and any existing moles that start to change (such as growing, swelling, itching). These changes may be early warning signs of melanoma.
Symptoms of early-stage melanoma are often subtle, but some clues can still be found with careful observation. For example, new black or brown moles, especially those with uneven color, blurred borders, and diameters greater than 6mm, should be noted. These moles may gradually increase in size over time, become irregular in shape, have jagged edges, or cause discomfort such as itching and pain.

In addition, some existing moles may also become malignant. If the color, shape, size or feel of a mole changes, such as deepening or mixed colors, asymmetrical shape, irregular edges, rapid increase in diameter, or symptoms such as pain, itching, bleeding, ulceration, etc., the possibility of melanoma should be highly suspected.
It is important to note that the symptoms of melanoma are not static and they may vary from individual to individual. Therefore, we should remain vigilant about any unusual spots, moles, or lesions on our skin and seek prompt medical attention for professional evaluation.
Early detection of melanoma is critical to improving cure rates. The risk of melanoma can be reduced by taking regular skin self-examinations, avoiding excessive UV exposure, and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Once you notice abnormal changes on your skin, you should seek medical attention immediately for early diagnosis and treatment. Although there are currently no specific drugs that can directly treat the early symptoms of melanoma, timely and effective medical intervention can significantly improve patients' survival rate and quality of life.
