Purchase channels for Febuxostat: Febuxostat is already on the market in China and can be purchased in major domestic hospitals or pharmacies with a doctor’s prescription!

When it comes to purchasing, I believe that the majority of gout patients are also very concerned about the price of febuxostat. The price of the original drug in Japan is higher than that in India, about $1,500 per box. Febuxostat produced by Zydus Pharmaceutical Factory in India has the same efficacy as the original drug, but the price is indeed much lower. The specification is 80mg*30 tablets/box. Its price is about 200$. Due to the floating exchange rate, the price cannot be accurate. For specific prices, please consult Medical Travel.

To purchase Febuxostat in India, you only need to go through domestic medical institutions and do not go abroad. It is guaranteed to be 100% authentic!

Learn more about the gout drug Febuxostat

Febuxostat is indicated for the long-term treatment of hyperuricemia in patients with gout.

Febuxostat has not been studied in patients with secondary hyperuricemia, so it is not recommended to be used in patients with large increases in urate, such as malignant diseases and Lesch-Nyhan syndrome.

Because the saturated concentration of urate in blood is 420 μmol/L (regardless of gender), exceeding this value can cause urate crystals to precipitate and deposit in joint cavities and other tissues. Therefore, the "Multidisciplinary Expert Consensus on the Diagnosis and Treatment of Hyperuricemia-Related Diseases in China" defines hyperuricemia (HUA) as blood uric acid level >420 μmol/L.

The blood uric acid level at the first gout attack was 527 μmol/L for men and 516 μmol/L for women.

In male patients, the most common cause is alcohol consumption (25.5%); in female patients, the most common cause is high-purine diet (17%), followed by sudden cold exposure (11.2%) and strenuous exercise (9.6%).

Not recommended for use in asymptomatic hyperuricemia.
