feburic可以根治痛风吗？

Feburic, also known as febuxostat and febuxostat, is suitable for the long-term treatment of hyperuricemia with gout symptoms, but is not recommended for the treatment of asymptomatic hyperuricemia. In 2009, feburic was approved by the US FDA for marketing, and it was not approved for marketing in my country until September 2018. This is also the latest drug for the treatment of gout.

Can feburic cure gout?

Gout is caused by the accumulation of uric acid in the body due to the excessive production of uric acid in the body and the reduced ability of the kidneys to remove it, resulting in the deposition of urate crystals in joints and various organs. Currently, commonly used clinical uric acid-lowering drugs include drugs that inhibit uric acid production and drugs that promote uric acid excretion. Feburic is a drug that inhibits uric acid production and can directly inhibit the activity of xanthine oxidase and reduce the production of uric acid.

The safety and efficacy of feburic were confirmed in a multi-center, randomized, double-blind phase II clinical study. The trial included 153 patients (136 men and 17 women) who were randomized to receive placebo or feburic (40, 80, or 120 mg/day).

The test results after 4 weeks showed that the serum uric acid concentration of patients in each dose group of feburic was significantly lower than before treatment. According to the dose, each group decreased by an average of 37%, 44% and 59% respectively, while the placebo group only decreased by 2%. In other words, the use of feburic can effectively reduce the patient's serum uric acid concentration and achieve the effect of treating gout.

In terms of safety, feburic has relatively few adverse reactions. The incidence of adverse reactions is similar to that of the placebo group, and the reactions are mild, and the patient's quality of life is guaranteed.

The treatment of gout with feburic (febuxostat, febuxostat) is a long-term process. Even if uric acid is reduced to the standard after using feburic, it still needs to be kept within a normal range through reasonable diet control, exercise and other methods.
