Loteprednol Suspension Eye Drops is a topical corticosteroid ophthalmic preparation containing 0.5% loteprednol etabonate. It is mainly used to treat ocular inflammatory diseases that are sensitive to corticosteroids, such as allergic conjunctivitis, iritis and postoperative inflammation.

Mild eye side effects

Common eye side effects

1. Blurred vision or abnormal vision: the incidence rate is 5-15%, usually appearing temporarily after the drops.

2. Burning sensation when dropping medicine: It is relatively common and mostly temporary discomfort.

3. Conjunctival edema and increased secretions: Some patients may experience mild reactions.

4. Dry eyes and excessive tears: the incidence is between 5-15%.

5. Foreign body sensation and itching: relatively common local reactions.

6. Congestion and photophobia: Most symptoms are mild and reduce over time.

7. Including headaches, rhinitis and pharyngitis, allergic reactions, systemic corticosteroid effects, endocrine system effects, immune suppression and other conditions.

Less common eye side effects

The incidence of these side effects is less than 5%, but they still require attention and timely treatment.

1. Conjunctivitis: Drug-related conjunctival inflammation may occur.

3. Eyelid erythema: local allergic or irritating reaction.
