is a targeted therapy drug that is clinically used to treat specific types of non-small cell lung cancer. During treatment, it may cause adverse reactions such as liver damage, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, and musculoskeletal pain. Patients can alleviate this by adjusting their lifestyle, adjusting dosage, and other methods under the guidance of a doctor.

Adverse reactions of sotoraxib

1. Diarrhea: This is one of the most common side effects and may require timely medical intervention to prevent dehydration.

2. Musculoskeletal pain: Patients may experience muscle or bone pain in different parts of the body.

3. Nausea: It may cause the patient to feel discomfort or vomiting.

4. Fatigue: Feeling of persistent physical or mental fatigue.

5. Liver damage: manifested by an increase in indicators in liver function tests, such as an increase in aspartate aminotransferase (AST) and alanine aminotransferase (ALT). Regular monitoring of liver function is required.

6. Cough: It may be mild to moderate, but you also need to pay attention to whether there are signs of pulmonary complications.

7. Laboratory abnormalities: such as lymphopenia, decreased hemoglobin, increased aspartate aminotransferase and alanine aminotransferase, decreased calcium, increased alkaline phosphatase, increased urinary protein, decreased sodium, etc.

Measures for dealing with adverse reactions

1. Diarrhea: Maintain adequate fluid intake and avoid excessive intake of caffeine and greasy food. Antidiarrheal medications may be used if necessary to reduce discomfort.

2. Musculoskeletal pain: It can be treated with moderate rest and light exercise, warm hot compress, or the use of analgesic drugs such as ibuprofen.

3. Nausea and vomiting: Eat in portions, choose light and easy-to-digest foods, and avoid spicy or greasy foods. Your doctor may prescribe anti-nausea medications to relieve these symptoms.

4. Fatigue: Ensure adequate rest and good sleep quality, and engage in moderate light exercise, such as walking. If fatigue is severe, your doctor should be informed as your treatment plan may need to be adjusted.

5. Hepatotoxicity: During the first 3 months of treatment, monitor liver function tests every 3 weeks, and then monitor once a month according to clinical instructions. Depending on the severity of the adverse reaction, sotoraxib may need to be suspended, dose reduced, or permanently discontinued.

6. Interstitial lung disease (ILD)/pneumonia: Monitor for new or worsening pulmonary symptoms, such as dyspnea, cough, fever, etc. For suspected ILD/pneumonitis, discontinue sotoraxib immediately and may require permanent discontinuation if no other underlying cause is identified.

7. Skin-related toxic effects: Use mild skin care products, avoid strong direct sunlight, and keep your skin clean. Your doctor may consider prescribing medications or topical treatments to relieve symptoms.

8. Hypomagnesemia: Pay attention to supplementing magnesium-containing foods or supplement magnesium as directed by your doctor.
