Regorafenib’s mechanism of action
Regorafenib (Regorafenib) is a cancer drug that contains the active substance regorafenib, is a "protein kinase inhibitor". This means it blocks several enzymes that are important for the tumor's blood supply and the growth and development of cancer cells. By blocking the action of these enzymes, regorafenib helps stop cancer from growing and spreading. In in vivo models, regorafenib exhibits anti-angiogenic activity in rat tumor models and tumor growth inhibition in several mouse xenograft models, including some human colorectal cancers, gastrointestinal stromal tumors, and hepatocellular carcinoma.
