Efficacy of Sonidegib

In the United States and the European Union, Sonidegib is approved for the treatment of adult patients with locally advanced basal cell carcinoma (BCC) who have relapsed after surgery or radiation therapy. It is also approved for use in adult patients with BCC who are not candidates for surgery or radiation therapy. Solidegib is a drug used to treat cancer, with the trade name Odomzo. Solidegib is an inhibitor of the Hedgehog signaling pathway (through smooth antagonism).

Solidagibhas been shown to inhibit a transmembrane protein calledSMO, which plays a role in Hh signaling. This results in inhibition of Hh signaling and anti-tumor activity in various animal models. In a transgenic mouse model of islet cell tumors, mice treated with Solidagib had a 95% reduction in tumor volume compared with untreated mice. Solidegibis rapidly absorbed in the fasted state, reaching peak concentration 2-4 hours after administration. However, the overall absorption rate of Solidegib is low (approximately 6-7%). Solidegibis mainly metabolized through oxidation and amide hydrolysis. The enzyme responsible for most of the metabolism is cytochromeP450 (CYP) 3A4 enzyme. The binding rate to plasma proteins exceeds 97%, and the binding is independent of concentration.

Solidagen is a new type of drug for treating diseases. Although the original drug Solidagen has been marketed in China, it has not yet entered the scope of medical insurance, and its price has not yet been determined.
