Which brand of Orlistat is authentic and nationally certified?
Orlistat (Orlistat) was originally approved as a prescription drug by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in April 1999 under the trade name Xenical. In January 2006, the FDA approved an over-the-counter version of orlistat, sold under the brand name Alli by GlaxoSmithKline, which is sold in 60-mg capsules, half the prescribed dose of orlistat.

Orlistat is a saturated derivative of endogenouslipstatin isolated from Streptomyces toxin. FDA-approved indications for orlistat include: obese patients with a body mass index (BMI) of more than 30kg/m2, patients with a body mass index greater than 27kg/m2 and patients with risk factors such as hypertension, diabetes, and dyslipidemia to reduce the risk of weight regain after previous weight loss. Orlistat is available as 60 mg (over-the-counter) and 120 mg (prescription) oral tablets. The recommended prescription dose of orlistat is 120 mg capsules taken orally three times daily, which should be administered during or within 1 hour after a meal containing fat. Doses above 120 mg have not shown any additional benefit.
The original drug of Orlistat has been marketed in China, but it has not yet entered the scope of medical insurance. There are also domestically produced drugs developed by other pharmaceutical companies on the market. The price of each box may be around tens of RMB, which is cheap. The price of the Indian version of Orlistat listed overseas is 120mg*84 capsules per box, which may be around a few hundred yuan (the price may fluctuate due to exchange rates). The ingredients of the two drugs are basically the same, but the manufacturers are different, and patients can choose by themselves.
