How much does Semaglutide cost?

Semaglutide (Semaglutide) is used with a diet and exercise plan to control blood sugar levels in adults with type 2 diabetes (the body cannot use insulin properly and therefore cannot control the amount of sugar in the blood). Semaglutide is not used to treat type 1 diabetes (the body does not produce insulin and therefore cannot control the amount of sugar in the blood) or diabetic ketoacidosis (a serious condition that can occur if high blood sugar is not treated).

Treatment with semaglutide may also reduce the chance of heart attack, stroke, or other diabetes-related complications such as kidney failure, nerve damage (numbness, coldness in legs and feet; decreased sexual ability in men and women), eye problems, including changes or loss of vision, or gum disease.

Semaglutide tablets have not yet been launched in China. Its injection has been launched in China and is covered by medical insurance, but only eligible patients can be reimbursed.The price of each 3ml tube may be around RMB 1,000. For the original semaglutide tablets sold overseas, the price per box of 3 mg*100 tablets may be around RMB 2,000, the price per box of 7 mg*100 tablets may be over RMB 3,000, and the price per box of 14 mg*100 tablets may be around RMB 4,000 (prices may fluctuate due to exchange rates). There are currently no generic versions of semaglutide on the market.
