How to take selinesol?
Selinexor (Selinexor) is a first-in-class selective inhibitor of nuclear transport (SINE) compound. Selinisol in combination with bortezomib and dexamethasone is currently approved for the treatment of multiple myeloma (MM); it has also received accelerated approval for the treatment of adult patients with relapsed or refractory diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) who have received at least 2 systemic therapies. Seleniso is available by prescription only, and treatment should be initiated and supervised by a physician experienced in treating multiple myeloma.
Selinisol is available as a tablet that can be taken by mouth with or without food. For use in combination with dexamethasone to treat multiple myeloma or to treat diffuse large B-cell lymphoma, selinesol is usually taken on days 1 and 3 of the week. When used in combination with bortezomib and dexamethasone to treat multiple myeloma, selinesol is usually taken once weekly. Take selinexol at about the same time each day. Treatment can continue as long as the patient benefits from it. Swallow the tablets with water; do not cut, chew, or crush them.
Do not take too much or too little or more often than prescribed by your doctor. If a patient vomits after taking selinesol, do not take another dose. Continue regular dosing schedule. Doctors may tell patients to take medications to prevent nausea and vomiting before and during treatment with selinesol. If certain side effects occur, your doctor may need to stop or interrupt treatment or reduce the dose.
In summary, correct administration of selinexol is critical to ensuring patient safety and therapeutic efficacy. Patients should strictly follow the doctor's instructions and maintain close communication with the doctor throughout the treatment process.
