How many injections does a course of treatment with Ropilastin/Romilastin cost?

Romiplostim is a synthetic (artificial) protein used to treat chronic immune thrombocytopenia (ITP) or acute radiation syndrome. Ropremilast works by stimulating your bone marrow to make more platelets. It does this by directly binding to and activating TPO receptors, similar to naturally occurring TPO (thrombopoietin), which is the substance that controls the number of platelets the body produces. Activation of TPO receptors increases megakaryocyte progenitor cell proliferation and platelet production. In patients with ITP, the levels of TPO are not high enough. Promoting platelet production helps reduce the risk of bleeding.

Roprostim belongs to a class of drugs called thrombopoietin receptor agonists. Before starting treatment, doctors will develop a treatment plan based on the patient's platelet count, medical history, and other relevant health conditions. Generally, roplastin is administered by subcutaneous injection, and the initial dose is usually 1 microgram/kg of body weight once a week.
