11 symptoms of rheumatic immune disease
Rheumatic diseases (rheumatic diseases) are a group of diseases involving abnormalities in the immune system, often affecting joints, muscles, bones and other organs. Symptoms of these diseases are varied and complex and often have a significant impact on patients' daily lives. Understanding these symptoms can help with early identification and prompt treatment.
1. Pain is one of the most common symptoms of rheumatic immune diseases. Patients may experience joint pain, especially when getting up in the morning or after a long period of inactivity. This type of pain is often accompanied by stiffness, making it difficult for patients to move. Secondly, swelling is also a significant feature. The affected joint may be significantly swollen and may feel warm when touched, indicating the presence of inflammation. Patients often feel discomfort due to joint swelling when performing daily activities.
2. Fatigue is a symptom often complained by many patients with rheumatic immune diseases. Unlike ordinary fatigue, this kind of fatigue does not seem to be relieved by rest, and in severe cases it may affect the patient's work and social life. At the same time, weight changes are also a possible symptom. Some patients may experience unexpected weight loss, while others may gain weight due to medications or reduced activity.
3. In addition to the above symptoms, skin problems are also relatively common, such as rashes or redness, especially in specific types of rheumatic immune diseases such as systemic lupus erythematosus. Patients may find that their skin tends to develop spots or red spots after exposure to the sun. In addition, certain rheumatic diseases may cause changes in the nails, such as thickening or brittleness.
4. In systemic rheumatic immune diseases, the involvement of internal organs also needs attention. Some patients may experience chest pain or difficulty breathing, which may be related to cardiorespiratory involvement. Problems with the digestive system cannot be ignored. Some patients may experience symptoms such as abdominal pain and indigestion.
5. Rheumatic immune diseases may also be accompanied by emotional problems, such as depression or anxiety. These psychological symptoms are often associated with physical discomfort, chronic pain, and uncertainty about future health.
6. Nocturnal joint pain and morning stiffness are also important symptoms of rheumatic immune diseases. Night pain makes it difficult for patients to fall asleep, and morning stiffness makes patients feel extremely uncomfortable when they get up in the morning. These symptoms not only affect the patient's physiological state, but also have a negative impact on mental health.
