The recommended starting dose is 400 mg daily for patients with newly diagnosed chronic phase Philadelphia chromosome-positive (CP Ph+) CML and 500 mg daily for patients with existing chronic phase, accelerated phase, or blast phase, and those with resistance or intolerance to prior therapy.
