How effective is Enrig?
What is the effect? Clinical trials show that the therapeutic effect of Enrig is worthy of recognition. Enrig is a ligand with three protrusions that binds iron with high affinity in a 2:1 ratio. Although deferasirox has a very low affinity for zinc and copper, the concentrations of these trace metals in the serum still decrease to varying degrees after administration. Therefore, Enriga can be mainly used to treat chronic iron overload caused by frequent blood transfusions in patients with β-thalassemia older than 6 years old.
Enrig, the generic name is deferasirox dispersible tablets. The ingredient of Enrige is Deferasirox. Enrig is used for patients with iron accumulation due to long-term blood transfusion (such as thalassemia or other rare anemias). It is suitable for children over two years old and adults.
In order to ensure the effectiveness of Enrig, scientific and rational use of drugs is undoubtedly very important. Therefore, it is recommended that patients use Enrig under the guidance of a doctor. It is recommended that patients with iron accumulation, such as those who require long-term blood transfusions (blood transfusions up to 100ml/kg) and whose serum ferritin exceeds 1000ug/liter, are initially recommended to take deferasirox at a dose of 20mg/kg per day based on body weight. Depending on the improvement of serum ferritin indicators, patients may need to adjust or increase the dose of deferasirox. Generally, the dose will be increased in units of 5mg/kg or 10mg/kg, but the total dose should not exceed 30mg/kg per day. When using Enrige, the tablets can be completely dissolved in water, apple juice or orange juice by stirring until a clear suspension is obtained and then consumed. The remaining drug must be added with a small amount of water, apple juice or orange juice and mixed well before consumption. Not recommended for dissolution in carbonated drinks or milk as it can cause foaming and slow dispersion.
Common adverse reactions: diarrhea, vomiting, headache, abdominal pain, fever, rash, increased serum creatinine, etc. Other adverse reactions of Enrig: increased liver enzymes, cough, throat inflammation, and urticaria.
