Clinical trials analyzed the efficacy of esomeprazole (Nexium) versus omeprazole in the treatment of gastric ulcers. Methods: 106 gastric ulcer patients admitted to our hospital from January 2017 to June 2018 were selected as the research subjects, and they were randomly divided into two groups, 53 cases in each group. The esomeprazole group received esomeprazole treatment, and the omeprazole group received omeprazole treatment. After five weeks of treatment, the therapeutic efficacy of the two treatment methods was compared. After the treatment, 2 patients in the esomeprazole group were ineffective, and the total effective rate was 96.23%. There were 8 patients in the omeprazole group, and the total effective rate was 84.91%. The difference in the total effective rate between the two groups was statistically significant. Three months after treatment, 1 (1.89%) patient in the esomeprazole group relapsed, and 6 (11.32) patients in the omeprazole group relapsed. Comparing the recurrence rates of the two groups, the difference was statistically significant.
