Cialis (Tadalafil) is a drug widely used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED) and benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). It is favored by many patients because of its long-lasting effect and convenience.

Precautions for Cialis (Tadalafil)

It is absolutely prohibited to use Cialis (Tadalafil) in the following situations. Patients must fully understand and strictly comply with it before taking the medicine:

1. Combined use with nitrate drugs

Cialis will significantly enhance the antihypertensive effect of nitrate drugs (such as nitroglycerin, isosorbide mononitrate, etc.), which may lead to a sharp drop in blood pressure, causing syncope, shock and even death.

Whether you are taking nitrates regularly or occasionally, you should not use Cialis at the same time.

2. People who are allergic to Cialis or any of its ingredients

This product should be banned for those who have ever been allergic to Cialis or any of its ingredients, such as rashes, urticaria, difficulty breathing, swelling of the face or throat, etc. Severe allergic reactions may be life-threatening.

3. Combined use with guanylyl cyclase (GC) stimulators

For example, Riociguat, which is used to treat pulmonary arterial hypertension, combined with Cialis will exacerbate the drop in blood pressure and increase cardiovascular risks.

Evaluation before taking Cialis (Tadalafil)

1. People with cardiovascular disease need to be cautious

However, for patients with high-risk cardiovascular diseases, such as angina, heart failure, recent myocardial infarction, uncontrolled arrhythmia, uncontrolled hypertension, etc., the doctor should evaluate the safety of the drug before deciding whether to use Cialis (Tadalafil).

2. Avoid symptoms during sexual activities

If you experience discomfort during sexual life such as chest pain, dizziness, nausea, etc., you should stop sexual life immediately and seek medical treatment in time.

3. Use with caution in middle-aged and elderly patients with potential cardiovascular risks

Especially in patients with multiple risk factors such as diabetes, hyperlipidemia, and smoking.

Patients with mild to moderate hepatic insufficiency are recommended to start with a low dose and closely monitor the response, but use is not recommended for patients with poor liver function (especially those with severe hepatic insufficiency).

(1), CrCl>50mL/min: conventional dosage can be used.
