Cabergoline

Cabergoline is a long-acting dopamine D2 receptor agonist that inhibits the secretion of prolactin (PRL) in the anterior pituitary gland by selectively activating dopamine D2 receptors in the central nervous system.

Hyperprolactinemia : Treatment of high prolactin levels caused by menstrual irregularities, infertility, hyperlactation and pituitary tumors.

IV. Usage and dosage

1. Hyperprolactinemia :Initially 0.25 mg twice a week, increment by 0.25 mg every 4 weeks according to prolactin level, maximum 1 mg/time.

2. Medication time : Can be taken with food to reduce nausea.

5. Dose adjustment

1. Renal insufficiency : U200c is disabled if CrCl <50mL/min.

2. Hepatic insufficiency : Child-Pugh B/C grade is prohibited.

6. Medication precautions

1. Allergy screening : HLA-B*5701 gene needs to be detected before medication.

2. How to handle missed doses of : Take it immediately. If it is close to the next dose time (within 4 hours), skip .

3. Vomiting treatment : No need to take a supplementary dose, just take next time as originally planned.

4. Fibrosis risk : Cardiac ultrasound examination is required before treatment, and valve lesions are regularly monitored.
