Vibegron is a small molecule β3 adrenoceptor agonist, mainly used to treat overactive bladder (OAB). It helps the bladder to hold more urine by relaxing the detrusor muscle, thereby alleviating symptoms such as urinary urgency, frequency and urge incontinence. In December 2020, the US FDA approved its use in adult OAB patients. Currently, the drug is not yet on the market in China, and patients need to purchase generic drugs through formal channels.

Vibegron is a tablet, each tablet is 75 mg, oval, light green, film-coated, with "V75" debossed on one side. Patients can take it once daily with or without food, with a glass of water. The tablets can also be crushed and mixed with applesauce.

Vibegron has not yet been launched in China. Patients need to purchase generic drugs through regular medical service institutions and pay attention to the authenticity and production date of the drugs.

Adverse reactions

Common adverse reactions include headache, urinary tract infection, nasopharyngitis, diarrhea, nausea and upper respiratory tract infection. If serious adverse reactions such as urinary retention or angioedema occur, the drug should be discontinued immediately and seek medical attention.

When Vibegroron is combined with digoxin, it may increase the blood concentration of digoxin. The serum digoxin concentration needs to be closely monitored and the dose adjusted as needed.
