At present, the main pathogenic strain of the novel coronavirus pneumonia (COVID-19) is the Omicron mutant strain of the 2019 novel coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2). Small molecule antiviral drugs developed by targeting key proteins in the viral cycle have become the current mainstream. Remdesivir, Molnupiravir, Nirmatrelvir/Ritonavir2, and S-217622 (Ensitrelvir) are the four most promising antiviral drugs that have been approved for marketing or are about to be launched. So, what is the use of Merck's specific COVID-19 drug?

How to use Merck’s new coronavirus specific medicine

Merck's COVID-19 specific drug is very simple. Usually, patients over 18 years old should take Mupiravir orally, 800mg each time, twice a day, for 5 days.
