恩赛特韦(Ensitrelvir)治疗新冠效果？

Ensitrelvir is a Japanese-made oral COVID-19 drug that was emergency approved by the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare on December 22, 2022. From a safety perspective, the nematvir/ritonavir combination (Paxlovid) requires the use of ritonavir as a booster, or there is a risk of drug interactions, while Ensitrelvir does not have the risks of the booster ritonavir, and compliance will be better.

What are the effects of Ensitrelvir?

The oral COVID-19 drugs previously approved for use in Japan include Pfizer’s nematvir/ritonavir combination (Paxlovid) and Merck & Co.’s (Merck & Co.’s) monogravir. However, these two drugs are only allowed to be used in groups with a high risk of severe disease, such as elderly COVID-19 patients. Ensitrelvir has no similar restrictions and has received widespread attention. Ensitrelvir is expected to be cheaper and cheaper than Pfizer's oral COVID-19 drug Paxlovid because it does not require a booster.
