Respimat is indicated for adults with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). The newly launched Respimat soft mist inhaler uses the long-acting anticholinergic drug LAMA (tiotropium bromide) as the agent. The aerosol lasts longer, extending to more than 1.2 seconds. The aerosol injection speed is slow, and the ideal particle content is as high as 70%, ensuring efficient deposition of the drug in the lungs, reaching 51.6%.

Each box of Respimat contains 60 puffs/bottle + 1 Respirnt inhalation device. The spray can only be used by inhalation. The recommended dose of Respimat for adults is to inhale 2 puffs once a day through the Resplmat inhaler device at the same time.

Because adult chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is a long-term condition, use Respimat every day, not just when you have breathing problems. Do not exceed recommended dosage. Respimat is a once-daily maintenance bronchodilator and cannot be used as a rescue treatment for acute episodes of bronchospasm.

Concomitant use with some medicines may lead to an increase in side effects, for example any medicine that may be similar to Respimat (containing similar active substances, such as anticholinergics or beta-adrenergic medicines). Beta-blocker drugs, used to treat high blood pressure or other heart problems (such as propranolol), or to treat glaucoma (such as timolol), may cause Respimat to lose effectiveness, so patients should talk to their doctor first if they need to use other drugs.
