It is a classic drug for the treatment of stable COPD. On this basis, Boehringer Ingelheim has specially developed a new inhaled long-acting β2 receptor agonist olodaterol.

Respimat (tiotropium bromide/olodaterol inhalation spray) is a new drug developed by Boehringer Ingelheim. It has been officially approved by the China Food and Drug Administration and is suitable for long-term maintenance treatment of patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD, referred to as COPD, including chronic bronchitis and emphysema) to relieve symptoms.

How to use Respimat spray?

1. Respimat spray: This product can only be used by inhalation. Bottles containing tiotropium should only be inserted into a Respimat inhalation device and inhaled through the Respimat inhalation device.

2. One medicinal dose contains 2 puffs.

3. The recommended dose for adults is to inhale once a day through the Respimat inhalation device at the same time, taking 2 puffs each time.

4. Respimat should not be used in excess of the recommended dose.

5. Special groups:

(1) Elderly patients can use Respimat at the recommended dose.

(2) Patients with renal insufficiency can use Respimat at the recommended dose. However, in patients with moderate to severe renal insufficiency (creatinine clearance ≤50 ml/minute), the use of Respimat, as with other drugs primarily excreted by the kidneys, should be closely monitored.

(3) Patients with liver dysfunction can use Respimat at the recommended dose.

(4) Pediatric patients: There is no experience in using it on pediatric patients, so patients younger than 18 years old are not recommended to use this product.
