Chinese Instructions [Common Name] Budesonid, Budesonide, BUDENOFALK CAP

【Usage and Dosage】

1. Take it about half an hour before meals, and swallow it whole with plenty of liquid (such as a glass of water).

2. Treatment time for active Crohn's disease and collagenous colitis should be limited to 8 weeks. For relief of Crohn's disease: Adults (18 years and older): Unless your doctor prescribes otherwise, take 3 hard capsules once daily in the morning or 1 hard capsule 3 times daily (morning, noon, evening) before eating. Take for no more than 8 weeks.

Collagen Colitis Relief: Adults (18+): Take 3 hard capsules once daily before breakfast unless your doctor prescribes otherwise. Take for no more than 8 weeks.

3. Treatment to maintain remission of autoimmune hepatitis (adults over 18 years of age) should be continued for at least 24 months. Its termination is possible only if biochemical remission is sustained and signs of inflammation are absent in liver biopsy.

4. Termination of treatment: It should not be stopped suddenly, but gradually canceled (tapered). During the first week, the daily dose should be reduced to two capsules, one in the evening and one at night. During the second week, take only one capsule in the morning. Treatment can then be stopped.

Acute use: Take 1 hard capsule 3 times daily (morning, noon, evening) unless otherwise prescribed by your doctor. Based on the test results, your doctor will decide how long you should take 3 capsules per day.

Follow-up: Take 1 hard capsule 2 times daily (morning and evening) unless otherwise prescribed by your doctor. Based on the results of the control examination, your doctor will decide when you should take 2 capsules per day.

【Notes】

1. People with tuberculosis, airway fungi, mold, and viral infections should use with caution.

2. Pregnant women should avoid use.

3. To reduce pharyngeal thrush, patients should rinse their mouth after taking the medication.

4. Fetal toxicity: Clinical experience in pregnant women is limited. Like other glucocorticoids, budesonide caused various types of malformations (cleft palate, skeletal deformities) in animal experiments. However, the correlation between the data from animal experiments and humans has not yet been demonstrated. Until more experience is gained, pregnant women should not use this product unless there are special considerations.

【Taboo】

Hypersensitivity to or any ingredient of the preparation. Not allowed for use by children under 6 years old. Tuberculosis (active or quiescent); untreated bacterial, fungal, or viral infection.
