Indications: Bronchial asthma and other chronic reversible airway obstructive diseases.

Budesonide dosage forms are 10mg and 20mg. Aerosol: 50ugx 200 sprays; 200ugx 100 sprays. Dry powder inhaler: 100ug x 200 puffs; 200ug x 100 puffs, 200 puffs. After inhalation, budesonide mainly inhibits the production of active substances such as inflammatory sensitization mediators and cytokines in the airways and lung tissues through the comprehensive effects of the above links, shrinks the expanded mucosal blood vessels, and increases the sensitivity of bronchial smooth muscle and inflammatory cells to β2 agonists. It can have a good therapeutic effect on both exogenous and endogenous asthma. In addition to relieving clinical symptoms such as asthma and dyspnea, and improving pulmonary ventilation function, the anti-inflammatory effect of this type of drug is more prominent than other asthma drugs. According to a group of long-term users of budesonide, bronchoscopy and histological examination of tissue removal before and after treatment found that budesonide can alleviate or reverse to a certain extent airway mucosal edema, basement membrane thickening due to subepithelial collagen deposition and other airway inflammatory remodeling lesions in chronic asthmatics. The anti-inflammatory effect of budesonide is about 500 times that of dexamethasone. Therefore, when micro-inhalation of budesonide produces the above-mentioned local therapeutic effect, even if it is absorbed through the airway and swallowed (bioavailability is only 11%), it will not produce obvious systemic glucocorticoid adverse reactions.

The dose is controlled within 800 μg per day. It is generally believed that there will be no systemic adverse reactions of glucocorticoids, and it will not significantly affect the function of the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenocortical regulatory axis. Only occasional local irritation symptoms such as throat discomfort and hoarseness, as well as Candida infection in the oral cavity and pharynx are seen. The latter is caused by the pharmacological effects of budesonide reducing local resistance. If serious adverse reactions occur with breast milk, the patient needs to consult the attending doctor in time for symptomatic treatment to avoid causing other discomforts.
