Standard dosage and usage of Quviviq

Quviviq generally controls its oral dosage between 25-50mg every night, and should be taken within 30 minutes before going to bed, and should be taken at least 7 hours away from the planned wake-up time.

Maximum dose‌50mg/night.

Quviviq can be taken with meals, but it may delay the time it takes to fall asleep.

Dose adjustment of Quviviq for special groups

1. Patients with renal insufficiency do not need to adjust the dose.

2. Hepatic insufficiency:

Patients with mild hepatic insufficiency do not need to adjust.

For patients with moderate hepatic insufficiency (patients with a Child-Pugh score of 7-9), the maximum tolerated daily aspirin dose should not exceed 25 mg.

We do not recommend the use of this type of drug as the first choice for patients with severe hepatic insufficiency.

‌Drug interactions with Quviviq‌

Moderate CYP3A4 inhibitors should not exceed 25 mg per night.

Due to the strong inhibitory or inducing effect of Quviviq on CYP3A4, the combined use of Quviviq and Quviviq should be avoided.

Contraindications and precautions for Quviviq

‌1. Contraindicated groups‌

Patients with narcolepsy; those allergic to active ingredients or excipients (there have been reports of laryngeal angioedema); patients under 18 years old (safety and effectiveness have not been established). ‌

2. Monitoring requirements ‌

Patients with mental illness need to be vigilant for worsening depression or suicidal tendencies; observe complex sleep behaviors (such as sleepwalking, sleep driving), and discontinue medication immediately; patients with obstructive sleep apnea or chronic lung disease should have their respiratory function regularly monitored.

Patient instructions for Quviviq

Obvious drowsiness may occur the next day after taking it, so patients should try to avoid driving or other activities that require high alertness.

Combined use with alcohol or other central nervous system depressants should be avoided to avoid aggravating toxicity or adverse reactions.
