Ramelteon (Ramelteon) drug interactions
1. Concomitant use of drugs is prohibited
Fluvoxamine maleate: can strongly inhibit ramelteon metabolizing enzymes (CYP1A2, etc.), resulting in a significant increase in the blood concentration of ramelteon and enhanced efficacy. Concomitant use is prohibited.
2. Concomitant medications that need attention
(1), CYP1A2 inhibitors: such as quinolone antibacterial drugs, may increase the blood concentration of ramelteon and enhance the efficacy, so caution is required when used in combination.
(2) CYP2C9 inhibitors: such as the azole antifungal drug fluconazole, may increase the blood concentration of ramelteon and enhance the drug efficacy (for example, fluconazole can increase the peak concentration and area under the drug-time curve of ramelteon), so caution is required when used together.
(3) CYP3A4 inhibitors: such as the azole antifungal drug ketoconazole, may increase the blood concentration of ramelteon and enhance the efficacy, so caution is required when used together.
