Is Pertuzumab a chemotherapy drug or a targeted drug?

Pertuzumab (Pertuzumab), also known by its trade name Perjeta, is a targeted cancer drug that is used to treat breast cancer before surgery (neoadjuvant therapy), after surgery (adjuvant therapy), for breast cancer that has spread (secondary breast cancer), and for breast cancer that has come back in the breast (recurrent breast cancer). Pertuzumab is a monoclonal antibody that works by attaching to a protein on or in cancer cells called human epidermal growth factor 2 (HER2), a protein that makes cells grow and divide. Pertuzumab only works when the cancer is HER2-positive and is often used in combination with the targeted drug trastuzumab and taxane-containing chemotherapy.
