Studies show that Nintedanib begins to improve FVC within 6 weeks of starting the drug. FVC (forced vital capacity) is a lung function test that measures the total amount of air exhaled during a forced expiratory volume (FEV) test. Steady-state plasma concentrations of nintedanib were achieved within one week of administration in healthy volunteers, patients with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF), patients with chronic fibrosis-progressive interstitial cystitis, patients with systemic sclerosis-related interstitial lung disease, and patients with cancer. Nintedanib trough concentrations remained stable for over a year. Drug resistance usually refers to the situation where the effect of the drug gradually weakens or becomes ineffective after the patient uses the drug for a long time. Everyone’s constitution is different and their resistance to drugs is also different. The specific length of resistance is difficult to determine.
