Is Vandetanib covered by Medicare?

Since Vandetanib (Vandetanib) has not yet been marketed in China, Vandetanib is not included in the national medical insurance coverage. Vandetanib is currently on the market in some overseas countries and is a once-daily oral formulation with the potential to be used in a variety of solid tumor types. Vandetanib targets key signaling pathways in cancer by inhibiting VEGFR-dependent tumor angiogenesis, EGFR- and RET-dependent tumor cell proliferation and survival. It is used to treat unresectable, locally advanced or metastatic medullary thyroid carcinoma (MTC) in adults as an alternative to local treatment of unresectable and disseminated disease. Studies have shown that it is generally well tolerated at doses less than or equal to 300mg/day.
