How long does vomiting last with Temozolomide

Temozolomide is a chemotherapy drug commonly used to treat certain types of brain tumors. Because one of its side effects is nausea and vomiting, and non-hematologic side effects are usually mild to moderate, doctors usually recommend that patients take temozolomide at the same time every day. Continue taking temozolomide with food (fasted and non-fasted). To reduce nausea and vomiting, take temozolomide on an empty stomach or at bedtime and consider antiemetic therapy before and after administration. Patients generally respond well to these prophylactic treatments, such that approximately half of the patients receiving the low-dose and continuous-dose regimens do not require any antiemetic treatment after initial dosing.
