The difference between Fam-trastuzumab deruxtecan-nxki and Fam-trastuzumab deruxtecan-nxki
Fam-trastuzumab deruxtecan-nxki and Ado-trastuzumab emtansine are two drugs used to treat HER2-positive breast cancer. Deruxtetrazumab is an ADC (antibody drug conjugate) made from a HER2 antibody conjugated to the toxin serotonin-dipentylcarbamate (deruxtecan). Emtansine is also an ADC that combines a HER2 antibody with a microtubule inhibitor (emtansine). Trastuzumab inhibits the proliferation of tumor cells by binding to the HER2 receptor and releasing toxins to kill cancer cells. Trastuzumab inhibits the proliferation of tumor cells by binding to the HER2 receptor and kills cancer cells by releasing microtubule inhibitors.
