Does Anagrelide have any side effects?

In clinical studies of anagrelide, common side effects were headache, diarrhea, unusual weakness/fatigue, hair loss, nausea; serious adverse reactions Includes congestive heart failure, myocardial infarction, cardiomyopathy, cardiomegaly, complete heart block, atrial fibrillation, cerebrovascular accident, pericardial effusion, pleural effusion, pulmonary infiltrates, pulmonary fibrosis, pulmonary hypertension, and pancreatitis; the most common adverse reactions leading to treatment discontinuation are headache, diarrhea, edema, palpitations, and abdominal pain. Because of these issues, anagrelide should generally not be considered first-line treatment for essential thrombocythemia.
