Epclusa standard dosage, usage and treatment schedule guide
Epclusa (Epclusa) is an oral antiviral drug composed of sofosbuvir (Sofosbuvir< span>) and Velpatasvir (Velpatasvir), which is a direct antiviral drug (DAA). Its mechanism of action is to inhibit the activity of key enzymes in the replication process of hepatitis C virus (HCV), thereby blocking virus proliferation and achieving the effect of eliminating the virus. Jisanda is suitable for patients with chronic hepatitis C of all genotypes, including patients with mild and moderate cirrhosis, and is therefore widely recommended as a first-line treatment drug.
In terms of standard dosage, GISAND is taken orally once daily, 1 tablet each time (400mgsofosbuvir + 100mgvelpatasvir), which can be taken with or without food. It is usually recommended that patients take medication at the same time every day to ensure stable blood concentration and improve therapeutic effect. You should avoid missing doses or adjusting the dose yourself while taking the medication, as low doses or intermittent medication may lead to viral resistance or reduced efficacy.

In terms of treatment schedule, for most hepatitis C patients, including those with mild to moderate cirrhosis, it is recommended to take it continuously for 12 weeks to complete the full course of treatment. In certain circumstances, if the patient has severe liver function damage or previous antiviral treatment has failed, the doctor may adjust the treatment course according to the condition, but it is generally not recommended to shorten the treatment cycle at will. In addition, there is no need to combine interferon or ribavirin during treatment, which greatly improves patient compliance and tolerability.
During use, patients should undergo regular hematology and liver function monitoring to evaluate drug efficacy and safety. After completion of treatment, virological testing (HCV RNA levels) is usually performed 12 weeks later to confirm whether a sustained virological response (SVR12) has been achieved. Reaching SVR12 means the virus has been cleared and the patient can be considered cured. At the same time, patients should pay attention to maintaining a healthy lifestyle while taking the medication and avoid drinking alcohol and abusing drugs that damage the liver to ensure the best therapeutic effect and liver function protection.
