Gemtuzumab/Gemtuzumab (MYLOTARG) is a targeted therapy drug mainly used to treat acute myeloid leukemia (AML), which is a malignant bone marrow disease. This involvement of the immune system enhances the effectiveness of the treatment because it uses the body's own defense mechanisms to fight cancer cells.

Due to the specific effect of Gemtuzumab/Gemtuzumab, it can reduce some side effects compared with traditional chemotherapy drugs because it will not cause extensive damage to normal cells. This means patients typically experience fewer toxic side effects during treatment, improving treatment tolerability.
