What is Zanubrutinib?

Zanubrutinib (Zanubrutinib) is an antineoplastic drug (cancer drug) that interferes with the growth of cancer cells, which are eventually destroyed by the body. The drug, available only with a doctor's prescription and available in capsule form, is an immunomodulator that reduces the survival rate of malignant B cells. It inhibits BTK by binding to its active site. It inhibits the proliferation and survival of malignant B cells to reduce tumor size in mantle cell lymphoma.

Zanubrutinib can be used to treat mantle cell lymphoma(MCL) in adults who have received at least one cancer treatment. This medicine is also used to treat Waldenström's macroglobulinemia (WM). It is also used to treat marginal zone lymphoma (MZL) that has relapsed or failed to respond (refractory) to treatment in patients who have received at least one prior therapy, such as an anti-CD20-based therapy. The drug zanubrutinib is also used to treat chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) or small lymphocytic lymphoma (SLL). The most common adverse reactions of zanubrutinib are neutropenia (low levels of neutrophils, a type of white blood cell), upper respiratory tract infection (nose and throat infection), bleeding, bruising, rash, and musculoskeletal pain; the most common serious side effects are neutropenia, pneumonia (lung infection), high blood pressure, and thrombocytopenia.

The original drug of zanubrutinib has been launched in China and has been included in the medical insurance. The price of 80mg*64 capsules per box may be around 6,000 yuan. The original drug of zanubrutinib marketed overseas is relatively expensive. There are currently no generic drugs of zanubrutinib on the market.
