Venetoclax resistance management

There are many possible hypotheses for resistance to venetoclax. One of the most likely resistance mechanisms is the upregulation of other protein members in the BCL-2 anti-apoptotic family. Sunitinib is a small molecule drug approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for the treatment of renal cell carcinoma. Literature shows that sunitinib inhibits multiple tyrosine kinase receptors and can be used to overcome venetoclax resistance in CLL patients. It has been found to be more effective than dasatinib and ibrutinib in overcoming resistance to the drug. However, as time goes by, it seems that it is difficult for any drug to overcome the resistance of venetoclax, and everyone's body is different and their resistance to drugs is also different.
