What kind of medicine does Trifluridine Tipiracil Tablets (Lonsurf) belong to?

Lonsurf is an oral chemotherapy drug used to treat colorectal cancer and gastric cancer. It contains two active ingredients: trifluridine and metipiracil. Among them, trifluridine is a fluorine-containing purine nucleoside analog that can interfere with the synthesis of DNA and RNA in cancer cells and inhibit the proliferation of cancer cells; tipiracil is a pyrimidine analog that can prevent DNA replication and repair and enhance the therapeutic effect of trifluridine.
