What are the side effects of Herzuma (trastuzumab-pkrb)?
The most common adverse reactions in patients with metastatic breast cancer who received adjuvant therapy with Herzuma (trastuzumab-pkrb) were fever, nausea, vomiting, infusion reactions, diarrhea, infection, worsening of cough, headache, fatigue, dyspnea, rash, neutropenia, anemia, and myalgia. Adverse reactions requiring interruption or discontinuation of Herzuma therapy include heart failure, significant decrease in left ventricular function, serious infusion reactions, and pulmonary toxicity.

The most common adverse reactions associated with Herzuma treatment for metastatic gastric cancer include neutropenia, diarrhea, fatigue, anemia, stomatitis, weight loss, upper respiratory tract infection, pyrexia, thrombocytopenia, mucosal inflammation, nasopharyngitis, and dysgeusia. In the absence of disease progression, the most common adverse reactions leading to discontinuation of Herzuma treatment were infection, diarrhea, and febrile neutropenia. After Herzuma was launched on the market, adverse events such as infusion allergic reactions, oligohydramnios or oligohydramnios occurred, including pulmonary hypoplasia, skeletal abnormalities and neonatal death, glomerular disease, immune thrombocytopenia, tumor lysis syndrome (TLS) and other adverse events.
The most common or serious side effects of Herzuma are heart problems, reactions related to Herzuma infusion, decreased levels of blood cells (especially white blood cells), infections, and lung problems. Herzuma can cause cardiotoxicity (damage to the heart), including heart failure (when the heart does not work properly). Caution should be used if given to patients who already have heart problems or high blood pressure, and all patients need to be monitored during and after treatment to check their hearts. Herzuma should not be used in people who are allergic to trastuzumab, mouse protein, or any other ingredient. It should not be used in patients who have severe breathing problems due to advanced cancer, even at rest, or in patients who require oxygen therapy.
