Tazemetostat is used to treat epithelioid sarcoma (a rare, slow-growing soft tissue cancer) in adults and children 16 years and older that has spread to nearby tissue or other parts of the body and cannot be successfully treated with surgery. It is also used to treat certain types of follicular lymphoma (FL; a cancer that starts in white blood cells) in adult patients whose cancer has come back or has not responded to at least two other drugs. Tazerestat is also used to treat adults with follicular lymphoma that has recurred or failed to respond to treatment when no other treatment options are available. Tazerestatbelongs to a class of drugs calledEZH2 inhibitors. It helps stop the spread of cancer cells.

Tazerestat is an oral tablet that is usually taken twice a day, with or without food, at approximately the same time each day. Take tazerestat exactly as directed, and do not take more or less often than prescribed by your doctor. If a patient vomits shortly after taking tazerestat, do not take additional doses and continue with the regular dosing schedule. Depending on the side effects a patient experiences, doctors may temporarily or permanently stop treatment or reduce the dose of tazerestat.
