What is Ribociclib?

Ribociclib (Ribociclib) is a kinase inhibitor indicated for the treatment of adult patients with hormone receptor (HR)-positive, human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2)-negative advanced or metastatic breast cancer, in combination with an aromatase inhibitor as initial endocrine-based therapy; or fulvestrant as initial endocrine therapy in postmenopausal women or men or after disease progression.

Containing chemical ingredients Ribociclib film-coated tablets are commonly used for oral administration and can be taken orally in combination with an aromatase inhibitor or fulvestrant, with or without food. The recommended starting dose of reboxiclib is 600 mg (three 200 mg tablets) once daily for 21 days, followed by 7 days off treatment. Dosage interruptions, reductions, and/or discontinuations may be necessary based on individual safety and tolerability. The most common (incidence ≥20%) adverse reactions (including laboratory abnormalities) include leukopenia, neutropenia, hemoglobin decrease, lymphopenia, increased aspartate aminotransferase, increased gamma-glutamyl transferase, increased alanine aminotransferase, infection, nausea, increased creatinine, fatigue, thrombocytopenia, diarrhea, vomiting, headache, constipation, alopecia, cough, rash, back pain, and decreased blood glucose.

The original drug Riboxil has been launched in China, but due to its short time on the market, its price and purchase methods are not yet known, and it has not yet been included in the scope of medical insurance. The price of the European version of Riboxil's original drug, 200mg*21 tablets, sold overseas may be more than RMB 20,000 per box, while the Indian version of Riboxil's original drug, 200mg*21 tablets, may be priced around RMB 3,000 per box (the price may fluctuate due to exchange rates). The ingredients of the two drugs are basically the same. There are currently no generic versions of Riboxil produced and marketed.
