Symptoms of resistance to Ribociclib
The CDK4/6 inhibitor Ribociclib is the standard treatment for metastatic hormone receptor (HR)-positive breast cancer. Riboxiclib treatment induces senescence in wild-type and mutant HR breast cancer models and leads to extensive drug resistance. Ribociclib may develop drug resistance during use. Once a patient develops resistance to the drug, the efficacy of Ribociclib may be reduced or ineffective.
Symptoms of drug resistance may include continued tumor growth or spread, worsening of the condition, and reduction of adverse reactions. Riboxiclib can control tumor growth when treatment is initiated, but if resistance develops, tumors may grow back or spread to other sites. Drug resistance may cause tumors that were originally stable or declining to grow again, and other symptoms of worsening of the disease may occur. After the development of resistance, patients may observe that the adverse reactions originally caused by reboxil are reduced or disappeared. Everyone’s constitution is different and their resistance to drugs is also different. If you feel unwell, please inform your doctor in time. Doctors can evaluate the patient's condition and perform the necessary examinations and tests to determine if resistance to reboxil has developed.
The original drug Riboxil has been launched in China, but due to its short time on the market, its price and purchase methods are not yet known, and it has not yet been included in the scope of medical insurance. The price of the European version of Riboxil's original drug, 200mg*21 tablets, sold overseas may be more than RMB 20,000 per box, while the Indian version of Riboxil's original drug, 200mg*21 tablets, may be priced around RMB 3,000 per box (the price may fluctuate due to exchange rates). The ingredients of the two drugs are basically the same. There are currently no generic versions of Riboxil produced and marketed.
